What is Alignment Coaching?

People often ask me ‘what is alignment coaching?’

I tend to hesitate to answer as it can differ for each individual person depending on the source.

However, I’m always happy to share why I chose to apply it to my style of coaching and why it may provide more clarity for those who are curious.

Let’s start with what it feels like to be out of alignment.

You’re most likely to feel your energy is off-centre, perhaps you’ve become disillusioned with work, unenthusiastic to go out and sometimes feel exhausted, especially when you’re expected to be all things to all people. Or maybe you’re no longer clear on what you want and just seek clarity.

Being in alignment is the opposite to this.

You feel more grounded and centred and aligned with who you truly are and clear on what you really want. When what you do for a living or a hobby is fully aligned with your core values, it leads to a flow state and what I like to call ‘energised happiness’ where the time passes unnoticed, and you don’t get tired in the activity. It also means having the energy to do all the things you want to achieve in your life, family, or career without the effort of trying.

Alignment is about being your authentic self rather than struggling to be someone you’re not.

It means being aligned with your purpose in life and what makes you feel gloriously happy!

The kind of Alignment coaching I do helps you to understand how you show up in the world, the language you use most often that reveals your core values (what’s most important to you) and where you may have thought patterns leading to limiting beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve you.

My why for choosing coaching and training techniques around alignment was because I saw the impact on people when their values and their company values were not aligned, the effect of poor decision making and the number of good people who left companies before having their chance to shine.

We already know that finding replacements to fill vacancies costs businesses time and money, but it also puts pressure on individuals who leave to look for work elsewhere or start that new job not knowing if they made the right move or will be back on the job boards.

What if more leaders led with compassion and had the skills to make wiser decisions? What if the individual understood the art of alignment by listening to the inner wisdom of their body?

With so many distractions and demands on us in this fast-changing world, we rarely stop to listen to what our body is telling us making it hard to make any decisions, let alone wise ones!

This can result in anxiety, disillusion and burn-out. I was one of those people before I discovered mbraining…the process of aligning our head, heart and gut, also known as our three brains.

It taps into your inner wisdom producing fast results at a much deeper level.

Over 10 years ago, I qualified as a Master Coach in NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and it was through NLP that I was introduced to multiple brain integration techniques or mBIT for short.

These two amazing techniques not only complemented each other, they enhanced my coaching process when combined with energy alignment and years of corporate experience.

The mBIT coach course had such a profound effect on me, after years of making decisions using just my head and gut, I finally listened to my heart and three months later, resigned from my successful career and made the investment to learn how to become a certified coach trainer in mBIT!

A true example of alignment with head logic, heart emotion and gut action!

My why is simply this…

To help people realise how wonderful they are when they bring their authenticity to the world.

By tapping into the inner wisdom of their three brains, they find empowerment to make wiser decisions for the good of themselves, others and our planet.
