Why my clients choose me

I’m still new to all this marketing stuff!

It’s all very confusing at times, however, I do believe it’s useful to know why the clients I attract use me and my services.

It all started when I had a conversation with a client who told me that after they were promoted, they were bombarded by overly keen coaches hoping to bestow their services upon them.

All with promises to make them successful in their new role, help them with their team, make them shine and lots of other wild aspirations to win their business.

This prompted me to ask the question…Why me?

The conversation went something like this:

“Why you?”

“Yes, why me and not one of the many others who contacted you?”

Pause…

“Well, firstly, you know me.” Which I did.

We had become friends after doing business together a few years ago.

I admired their tenacity and ability to get things done, even in the face of adversity.

“Plus, I don’t need to explain myself,” they continued. “And I trust you.”

“Thank you!” That means a lot to me. And it still does as I reflect on the conversation.

“Any other reason? I am genuinely curious to know as it helps me understand who else might benefit from my services.”

Without skipping a beat, they said; “well you tell it how it is!”

“Oh! You mean I don’t sugar coat things?”

“Absolutely!”

“Thank you.”  I replied, genuinely humbled to be taken on for being honest and authentic.

Two of my highest values.

It’s true.

I really don’t beat around the bush or sugar coat what I have to say if it’s going to help someone see how amazing they are.

It was this conversation that inspired me to post this message last week:

From my heart…

I really don’t care what you think of me.

I don’t care about your position or how much money you make.

I don’t care about what you own or do for a living.

I don’t care if you are thin, fat or just dehydrated.

I don’t care about the colour of your skin or religious beliefs.

I care about being the spark to light your fire so you can share what you have to offer with this world.

That’s what’s important to me.

We all have something unique to offer.

That's what's important.

Our positive energy, our warmth, our kindness, our respect for each other and most importantly, our love for all living things.

Right here and right now.

Not in some perhaps and maybe future.

Right now.

In this present moment where you and I stand together, connected by our brilliance that’s waiting to shine and do something positive in this world.

To help others see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

To realise there is no them and us.

We all have a mission here.

To connect and lift each other up, even when it seems hopeless there is always HOPE.
